  • A 45-Minute In-Person Cake Tasting Experience

    All tastings are conducted at Black Rock Coffee Bar at the Castle Rock Outlets unless other arrangements are specified and agreed on in advance.

    During your 45-minute in-person cake tasting, you will have the opportunity to sample a selection of our most popular cake flavors and fillings. This experience is designed to help you choose the perfect cake for your upcoming celebration.

    What to Expect:

    1. Flavor Selection: Prior to your tasting, you will select six pre-determined flavor combinations from our menu. Ultimately when you move forward with hiring Backyard Bakeries you can customize the cake, filling and frosting combination to your preference.

    2. Consultation: Throughout the tasting, Robyn, owner and lead cake designer will discuss design options for your cake, helping to visualize how the flavors can translate into a stunning centerpiece for your event.

    3. Notes and Preferences: We encourage you to take notes on your favorites and ask questions about any aspect of the tasting. The process should be engaging and informative, ensuring you leave with confidence in your cake choices.

    After the Tasting:

    At the conclusion of your session, you will have the chance to discuss any additional details, including dietary restrictions, design ideas, and ordering logistics. We aim to make this experience enjoyable and memorable, helping you select the ideal cake for your special occasion.

  • A 45-Minute Virtual Cake Tasting Experience

    $50

    This consultation style is virtual, but you will need to pick up your tasting box- this box will be at our location in Castle Rock, CO.

    During your 45-minute virtual cake tasting, you will have picked up your tasting box, sampled your cakes and are meeting with our cake designer to discuss details, ask questions and iron out the menusha of your cake for the day of your event.

    You will have the opportunity to sample a selection of our most popular cake flavors and fillings. This experience is designed to help you choose the perfect cake for your upcoming celebration.

    What to Expect:

    1. Flavor Selection: Prior to your tasting, you will select six pre-determined flavor combinations from our menu. Ultimately when you move forward with hiring Backyard Bakeries you can customize the cake, filling and frosting combination to your preference.

    2. Cake Sample Pick-Up: This is done at our bakery location in Castle Rock, CO. After selecting this option, filling out your details and paying for your selection, a confirmation email will be sent to you with the address for pickup (this is a home address, which is why this is not available readily to everyone) as well as a combination for the locked refrigerator on the porch, where your box will be labeled and waiting for you to enjoy.

    3. Consultation: We will work together to arrange a good time to meet via Zoom. Here we will discuss design options for your cake and help you visualize how the flavors can translate into a stunning centerpiece for your event.

    4. Notes and Preferences: We encourage you to take notes on your favorites and ask questions about any aspect of the tasting. The process should be engaging and informative, ensuring you leave with confidence in your cake choices.
